Title: Made a shield
Post by: Sir Patrick on 2014-06-20, 02:20:44: Me and Squire #1 just finished his first shield. Pressed it from 2 pieces of 1/4 inch plywood using Ye Olde Gaffers shield tutorial. It's still a bit large for him, but he swears he will grow into it. Wanted one JUST like Dad's.

EDIT: canvas faced, felt backed, rawhide edging.

Yeah it's great one-on-one, but it really throws off the family shield wall when the neighbors attack.

I know a leftie Viscount you try fighting right foot forward... once.

Just point the shield at the weapon. All will be well. Or mostly well.
