As the urban myth goes…some drunken ‘F-ing TARD’ pulled a sword on a cast member. But the stark reality is the fair is owned by a family of lawyers who don’t like liabilities.  :-\

I know my cousin also named nate.
went with a group of kendo friends and got into a giant sword fight a few years back.
they were samurais fighting vikings I think.
that might be what happened.

ya the law is no knife above 3.5 inches. but i think in the faire they ask regular people about having no knives on site at all

we could have bullet proof vests in the place of plate armor. or have kevlar instead of gambesons.

Their security is a bunch of barely trained, unarmed, non-violent, private seasonal help in t-shirts & there is typically no Police or Sheriff to be found on-site for help. LOL No need. We'll do this medieval style.
