padded gorgets

just picked up 2 brand new Revival padded gorgets from SFI classifieds. Came today in the post. Since we now have indoor practice space (finally) these will be a welcome addition to our protective gear.

I have one of these. I think its decent, inexpensive protection for controlled contact, and also works pretty well for rapier. You just have to keep in mind that they won't stop a hard thrust with a longsword blunt, and make sure your partner clearly understands this as well, so that you don't have someone hitting extra hard because they think that they can.
