You know what?  That's what my mancave needs...a book shelf, a trestle table, maybe some slim side tables like Wolf has for his display there...and wouldn't you know, I can see the site, even if Sir Wolf can't.  I'm usually the one who is site-challenged.  lol

What??? A bookshelf?? Are you Merlin, the Sorcerer?? A monk?? A knight of the time only has room for more steel in their tent to compliment their armory. Who needs literacy?? Leave the books outta warfare.  ;D

Actually knights were frequently quite literate. They sometimes passed books around to each other, and so on. Having a library might have been unlikely though, of course. :)

I actually am a monk...a Templar, that is.  And most of the greatest tactics for warfare from any period were- you guessed it- written down in tomes; besides, I am no ignorant knight, I am quite well read and my library will show this.

Seriously though, I need a place to put all my books, so why not a book case?  Especially one that looks period, even if not exactly so.

Ordered a couple of chairs from Smoke & Fire. :)

Now they're saying they might not have these back in stock until the end of September. It's questionable as to whether they'll be here in time for DoK.

A gauntlet, a digital photo frame with a couple thousand pictures of medieval armor and artwork, maybe a dragon's skull - close enough :)

but as a poor monk would you/could you travel with that? i would say one tomb or bible would be the extent of your library while on the move in a tent/encampment
