Sir William I ordered those chausses from revival clothing and they are not padded. I made my padded under armor chausses about four years ago. They are fairly easy to make. You just need some quilted fabric and a soft cotton fabric for the inner liner. I added some leather tabs and leather padded knee chaff guards. It all took about four hours start to finish.  ;)

wow, thats a LOT of padding there in the middle ;)

Is Sir Wolf having a little fun at Sir Brian's expense?  I seem to remember his middle being somewhat padded as well...altho, not anymore.  ;)

Well me new soft kit arrived!

Those Braies are huge! Washing them and the tunic now. I'll dye the Braies and tomorrow I will drop the tunic off to my seamstress to have a gold griffin embroidered on the chest of the tunic.  ;)

Methinks a thread with how you'll be dying them is in order. ;)

What size braies did you get?

Dying clothes are easy! Buy some RID dye and follow the directions on the back of the bottle! ;)
I got the smallest size and had to wait 3 weeks for it.

Yeah, it looks like all the braies are back in stock, since I ordered the small size too and my whole order just shipped (I'm assuming it's the whole order, since they sent me an email and said everything was in stock and ready to go). I think we got the same tunic, though mine's in blue. I ordered the chausses in both blue and black so I can pick depending on what else I'm wearing.

And now you can go 1 blue, 1 black for when you just can't decide! :)

Yeah it's split but doesn't go up that far.

I need a suggestion for a tunic, I pretty much only have an underwear set from historical enterprises and need a full kit. I am doing the mid to late 13th century but I dont like the look of those tunics that go down to your ankles as I may not be tall enough to fit into one. I do like the kit that Sir Brian has, that one looks ideal, but i'm unsure of the century, probably 14th but I would go with a black tunic or red as those are my heraldry colors.

Thats what I may get, just dont know where to get a 13th century model. I see plenty of 1300s ones, I may just get one of those like it really wont be much of a difference, I want a hood too cause well i'm red haired and the sun will burn me if I am out in it too much.
