I was asking gauge more to quantify if it was a combat shield or decorative. With everything else I'm working on and saving up to get, I really can't justify picking up this shield anyway  :(

No problem. :)

It's meant to be more decorative I think, but the steel is thick enough to fight with. It's not 18ga. I'm pretty sure it's 16ga. But until I find my calipers, I can't verify that. :)
