Wolf:

What kind of weave & at what weight did you make them from?

Debating on making my own like that, perhaps out of Linen, or buying from H.E.

$40 is a bit much for something I'm only using as decoration while fighting.

dont do linen. it doesnt stretch like wool does. i wear mine like the germans wore the putties in ww1. wrap once around the ankle, then go up the leg at an angle and wrap once under the knee then X back down the leg at an angle then wrap the entire leg upwards and tie or what have you at the top.

shouldnt be a decoration. sometimes these wear the socks of the time (like a sturup on pants) or a brush guard etc.

i think two of them are just a wool melton or something. and i have 2 that are a herringbone weave.

I think the most viable years are 1330-1370.

We could cover anything from full maille and great helm to full plate. Noone would really need to go out and buy a whole new kit.

Except me, I'm still 150-200 years ahead of you guys.

We're reenacting the battle between Anakin and Count Dooku during the beginning of Episode III. You're standing in for Christopher Lee.

OK so I move say 500 years up. I am still left with this question:

Why would a mench like me hang out with a bunch of meshugah goyim near Moshe's place in Tel Aviv?   ;)
