The handling is quite nice on it, it feels like I'm swinging a blade rather than a crowbar. Only issue is the grip, its a bit slippery but with my leather mittens on it's ok. And yeah I dont like how the tips rounded but thats what my folks got me so I gotta deal with that.

Happy birthday, Ulrich.  Sonny's a top notch guy- he's turned VA around almost singlehandedly.  He could also straighten that bend out for you (you mentioned a bend but didn't really say where, I just assumed you meant the blade) as well as sharpen it up and age the hilt components.  He could also build you a new grip from scratch that'd be a perfect fit for your Norman.  Do it, you won't be disappointed.
