Sir Gerard, methinks you need a hidden blade!  ;)

That's an Assassin's Creed reference...I'm currently engrossed in the third installment and have perfected the technique of dispatching guards at whim.  If only I were this skilled in real life!  lol

Sir William, a nice little sneaky rondel is just what the doctor ordered I think  ;)
To be honest I think I was glad for the lie down after working my way through a couple of the kings guard and then facing the big man himself lmao  :D

Sir Gerard, I agree.  I must also put forth that you seem to be living the life we all want...how do you do it, Sir?

A thriving, close knit medieval re-enactment comunity and lots of luck I suppose, but most importantly, a very patient and understanding partner  ;)

I know what you mean...I am similarly blessed in the partner aspect.  Now, if we can just get that close-knit re-enactment thing happening on this side of the pond...!

Perhaps it's time to start taking prisoners, training them in our ways, then "releasing them to the wild", and see if they come back? It worked in The Last Samurai, at least. :D

LOL @ Last Samurai - that worked because the samurai were in the right, fighting and dying for what they believed in.  A real soldier like Allgren could appreciate that.  That, and those exotic Japanese women...so circumspect.  lol
