Wish Me Luck
« on: 2011-05-28, 05:24:29 »
This Sunday I will fight in my first Tourney in at least a year. I will fight for the honor of my friend Mistress Alizan De La Fontaine

I leave in the morning for Meadow Valley, CA to compete in the Coronet Tourney of Cynagua and on Monday I will fight in the Lord Defender of Cynagua Tourney as well.

Wish me luck!

-Ivan

In theater the old superstitious idiom was "break a leg" but I guess in this instance it should be "break your opponent's leg" ... Figuratively speaking of course!  ;)

Good luck and play safe! :)

OK so here are the results.

Got to 5th round, with the generous help of my consort Mistress Alizan de la Fontaine, before my elimination during the Coronet Tourney and I did not make finals today in the Lord Defender Tourney theough I placed in the middle of the field.

In Finals were Lord Achilles of Sparta fighting for his wife Lady Esmeralda of the Lakes and Lord Michael of the Shire Fighting for his wife Lady Skye. Lord Achilles won and he & his wife are now the Lord & Lady of the Swan.

Also....

I was awarded the 'Torse Cynagua' for "The Coronet may award the Torse Cynagua to a fighter who has shown particular courtesy, chivalry and/or valor in the Coronet lists. This award is to be given out at the Coronet tourney after the lists and may be given only once per reign. The token for this award is a torse of Argent, Sable and Or ribbons."

There have been a total of 14 recipients in 14 years.
It's my first fighting award. Kinda cool yes?

Being identified as an individual who has shown "particular courtesy, chivalry and/or valor in the Coronet lists" is quite an honor.  Well done Ivan!

Congratulations and well done, Sir Ivan.  As I thought on this, I found it humorous that you would win an award for chivalry when you basically beat up your Mom!  LOL

Ok, I'm kidding...you'd mentioned before she was a warrior, I remembered.
