That sure would be awesome.

LOL - we got so sidetracked by the snow discussion I completely missed the KoB reference. I remember seeing the trailer for this a year or so ago, love Dinkley in GoT and thought it might be worth a rental. Then it seemed to disappear. Glad (I hope) it made it out.
Out on Netfilx or iTunes as well?
-
Not seeing it on Netflix yet :(
-
Hope it gets there soon.
-
They are selling it on demand I think and dvd's soon so it might be a while before they give netflix rights.
-
Netflix release for Knights of Badassdom is 4/1/14 it's been in my queue for a month now :)
-
I saw it. I'll never get that 90 minutes back.
If you saw the trailer, you saw just about every good line from the movie. What started out as funny tale about nerdy LARPers, turned in to a C grade horror movie.
Dinklage was the best part of the show, but he died too soon.

That a shame :-\

Ah, good to know. I've queued it up.
-
Gonna queue it up tonight! If I can get off of Black Flag long enough to do it, that is. That damn game is habit forming.
-
Talked w/Sir Ian in PM, it's not available for streaming, only netflix DVD
-

Available free, this weekend only, on XBox Live "Free Movie Weekend"
-
OK thanks will check it out
-
Well that was a movie. Odd beginning, middle was okay, ending may have been the most ridiculous ending I've seen in a movie in a very long time. And I've seen some goofy, low budget / foreign stuff.

If you really want to see something low budget / foreign, watch the Russian Alice In Wonderland live action movie. You'll never see Alice in Wonderland the same again.

There were some funny moments, and the expected LARPer bashing, of course - but to be fair, some of them are easy targets :)
I have to say the Europeans, in my experience are a little more laid back, not quite so rules-driven - more into the role-play and atmosphere.
Speaking of which, anyone interested in going to Drachenfest (http://www.drachenfest.info/df/index.php?article_id=1&clang=1 (http://www.drachenfest.info/df/index.php?article_id=1&clang=1)) or Conquest of Mythodea (http://www.live-adventure.de/ConQuest_english/start.php (http://www.live-adventure.de/ConQuest_english/start.php)) this year? Germans do LARP right, man!
I know this may bug our reenactment friends, but I think it would be awesome for a group from the Order to go one year...

How do you get yourself through the airport with a suit of armor?

I wish my queue didn't already have a bunch of movies on it, Then again if my family was gone then there wouldn't be this problem.... ;)jk
P.s. waited 6 years for the new Godzilla movie to come out, Saw it, worth the wait, Go put it on movie list for this weekend as well.
-
I finally had a chance to watch this. It was entertaining.
It is sort of an odd film, but I think you have to expect that when it's a small-budget independent film, and also when considering the subject matter. It does turn into a soft-horror, but even then, it still stays somewhat tongue-in-cheek, so I think it was pretty much what I expected.
And heck, it had both Peter Dinklage and Summer Glau in it, so that's a win. :)
-
I also liked all the subtle metal references... :) \m/
-
Rock on!
-
Metal references?
