Post by: Sir Nate on 2013-08-24, 04:06:20
I was watching that today. Monty python and the holy grail, it made me think of how many people have asked me if i was a monty python knight.
Some have asked me to sing...It can be awkward.

Ah yes, if you can recite about 90% of the lines from memory, then you're ready for the renfaire masses. :)

I had a guy ask me today if I said "Ni". I told him "No, I don't do that anymore. Now I say 'Ekki-Ekki-Ekki-Ekki-PTANG. Zoom-Boing. Z'nourrwringmm'."

Actually, today was filled with all kinds of Python moments. It made my inner geek very happy. Heck...it made my outer geek very happy, too.

Hah! Awesome. :) A few times we've done the coconut shells thing, and people actively move aside when they see some "skipping" knights coming, with the shells clacking. We'll have to do that again sometime.

Nice! The local Festival beggar/heckler had some coconut shells, so I had a brief skipping knight moment there. But yes, that's on my faire to-do list. ;)

Oh, by the way. Did I ever tell you guys about the time I fought a killer rabbit? They made a movie out of it. ;)

I have the blue and white like Bedevere, but said colors are divided per pale like Lancelot.

Therefore, I am *dramatic trumpeting* Sir Bedalot!
Hmmm...That would explain why I like to sleep.

Always loved that part too. :)

I have to say though, I think my favorite scene in the movie (aside from the Black Knight scene), is the discussion about medieval societal structure between Arthur and the mud farmers. "If I went around saying I was emperor just because some moistened bint lobbed a scimitar at me they'd put me away!" ... lol.

"listen, strange women lying in ponds distributing swords is no basis for a system of government."
