Post by: Sir Gerard de Rodes on 2013-02-16, 02:09:09
Not sure if you can get this but check this new series out.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/p00yjy5r/Chivalry_and_Betrayal_The_Hundred_Years_War_Trouble_in_the_Family_13371360/ (http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/p00yjy5r/Chivalry_and_Betrayal_The_Hundred_Years_War_Trouble_in_the_Family_13371360/)

If not, this is a new historian on the scene in the UK.....Dr Janina Ramirez.
She seems interested in all things medieval.

Check her web site....

Is it just me or is there something super sexy about a female medieval academic  :o

It says "Not available in your area".

So, chalk up another one for things we're jealous of over on that side of the pond. :)

Super-sexy might be overstating .... unless you can somehow slip her into some more comfortable & revealing (like armor) to eccenuate her Ph.D. quality.  :P You know, something only a fellow medieval enthusiast (of the male gender) can appreciate. ;)

Which reminds me, I have this photo book of scantily clad women in and among various forms of arms and armor.  Remind me to bring it to the next Order function that doesn't also include someone's parentage being in attendance.  ;)

I'll see if I can scan and send you some images, Thorsteinn.  ;)

Sir Gerard- it is the real deal, Brother.  Same for you as you're on the other side of the pond.
