Title: West Kingdom June Crown Finals 2012.

The format was a bit different this time. 60 fighters split into 4 pools did a round robin, the best 2 from each field did another round robin, the 4 who tied in that did yet another round robin. Thus they each had fought 25 rounds by the time of Finals.

 Finals were then best 2 out of 3 for the top two in the final round robin.

Funny enough, both Finalists were imports from other Kingdoms. Roger is from the East Kingdom while Jost is from Atenvelt.

I field marshaled 20 of the rounds and I was exhausted. I can only imagine what the Finalists were feeling.

Excellent post, Sir Thorsteinn. I'll be competing in an SCA East Kingdom crown rattan tourney in Granby, Mass on July 6-8, 2012.  Know anyone else who will be there??
