He should buy these, I'm not sure how well standard sized chausses would fit me anyway, cause I got extremely skinny legs, to the point where skinny jeans fit me like regular pants would...

I'm in the same boat, but I've more than cringed at the $495 price tag for the stainless rivited chausses. :(

Yeah, the price jump between the mild steel and the stainless is pretty huge. But I think it's worth it in the long-run, since it's durable and relatively low-maintenance.
