He didn't quite clear that first fence there...but I have to say, getting a cow to lift its legs like that is impressive on its own.

A neighbor on my street has a couple dozen cows. I say we train them all to jump, and declare them the official ModernChiv mounts. Getting knighted? Here's your spurs, and your cow. :)

Before I joined the SCA Mercenary Company Nevermore (we avoid the term "household"), the founders were debating a proper name and heraldry.  As the story goes, it came down to a vote between two ideas: "Mercenary Company Nevermore" with a stylized raven as a crest, or "the Holy Cows" with brown and white spotted tabards.

Nevermore beat out The Holy Cows by one vote. :(
