-
I'll see what I can do, I may be able to do it not sure yet.
-
well i may have spoken out to text. looking at the map its 3 1/2 hrrs one way. so hmmmmm 7 hours in a car and 40 bucks to get in (me and the princess) plus PA toll road fees. hmm all for 4-6 hrs at the park. i may have to wait till next year when I'm in Gaithersburg at teh mother in laws. a little closer to her house and we'll pick a warmer weekend(princess has no cloak)

Yeah, it's a bit far for you guys. Not sure what we're doing yet, it's going to be a busy weekend.
So you're doing Halloween on the 30th?
-
You mean no one's going to the Keep Fear Alive/Spread the Sanity rallies in D.C.???

ya halloween this year is on saturday in our neighborhood.
just found out my sister and brother in law are coming up this weekend so going to the faire is out now
-
They no likey?
-
not really there thing. they are car peoples. besides they are from frederick md, so have them drive 2 hrs to here then 3.5 hrs to teh faire then back 3.5 hrs then home 2 hrs. my sister is not about to do that ahhahaha
-
Ahhh...got you. Just as well...if they didn't have a good time, you wouldn't either.
-
Well, if any of you are coming I'll be there both days. It's M'Crack gathering that weekend and as an officer in the Pa clan I'll have Clan stuff to do throughout the day on Sat. but I'll have Sun. free and whatever time we are not doing Clan things on Sat. If I can get some repairs done to the mail sleeves on the Brig. I may wear that Sun. and change things up for my early 15th Century Hand Gonner Persona.
-
yup definitely out now. the princess just got a birthday invite for 2-4pm. oh well. maybe next year
-
Yep, I can't go either at this point.
-
Nor I since I'm working Saturday and Sunday we are going to another friend's Halloween party.
-
we need to plan a PA and a PITT invasion day for next year as well as a MDRF & VARF
-
Sounds good to me! I'm game!
-
So am I...it is quite a distance but if we plan for it, it'll be smooth.
-
So how was the faire, madmanpsu?

Crowds were thin for the final two days. On the upside, I debuted my early 15th Century Hand Gonner kit to rave reviews. Kit is in it's early stages and still needs some adjustment, but I felt it was far enough along to show it off and see what some people thought of it. I think I should have the key areas of work fixed for next season, namely appropriate footwear for the early 1400s and some more period tweaks to the gonne. I saw a few people in armor and some other really nice kits. Best one was the Border Reiver I met, I got a pic with him at the Trayned Band camp (it's up on my FB page). He had a wheel lock musket, a really nice one too. I also met some guys doing 16th Century Polish reenacting who invited me to come out in my 16th century kit and play with them sometime. I also found a very nice gentleman selling a maille hauberk, coif and mittens for $100 that a freind of mine is going to buy. It's butted 16 guage, SCA combat grade that he can't use anymore because he has a bad back. His loss is my freinds gain. All in all it was a good weekend, sad to see Faire over but now I'll have time to get to work on my off season projects.
-
Might make that one next year, hopefully.
-
Paladin, that would be awesome. It would be nice to see some more of the board members there.
-
Truly- I remember telling you when we met at the 08 MDRF that I wanted to check it out...we'd have to make an overnight trip due to distance but that's not a bad thing, just requires some pre-planning on my part so when next season arrives, lets set a date.
-
Sounds like a plan, I'll be in contact closer to the opening.
