Title: Days of Knights 1403
Post by: Sir Humphrey on 2015-03-22, 02:24:49
Nicky Hughes of the Days of Knights crowd is organizing an immersion event for April 2016 for those who may be interested.  The scenario will be June of 1403, as a muster in preparation for the King's men to march against Hot Spur Percy.  The authenticity standards will be high, and your kit must be in line with early 15th century.  No public is invited, so it wont be an interpretive event and will held for the enjoyment of the participants.  You also must eschew all modern conveniences, food and conversation while on site.   For those interested, there is a FB page entitled Days of Knights 1403.  More information can be found there.  You have a year to prepare!

I'll be attending as an archer, knights impressions are not required

What would it take to be a foot soldier?

Considering I know next to nothing about that time period (let alone having an appropriate kit), I'll let you all tell me how it went when you get back

I'd get into this if I had a later century kit. But I lack the funds for it and the equipment. I'm basically stuck with being crusader or 13th century. Lack the kit for it.

Interesting. I'll look into it & see if it is feasible. Thanks. :)

Is there information posted somewhere for those who chose not to Facebook?

No, as of right now it's only being organized on Facebook.  DoK 1403 is intended to be small, not for the public, and have pretty high accuracy standards, so it may never appear on the website.
