Title: Endochrine issues. Ever have them? Got tips?
Post by: Thorsteinn on 2015-01-11, 02:18:22
So the head injury last year probably caused me to get Hypothyroidism (I have a family tendency). I was wondering if anyone in the Order has dealt with this or another Endochrine System issue & how they did it. I ask because the pain, lack of energy, weight gain, and all the other crap is kicking my ass and this is just the mild version!

Any help would be appreciated. Know that the docs have me on a light dose of meds ATM and that I go in in at the end of the month for more tests & a consult.

You could fly out to Reno & administer a therapeutic deep tissue massage, especially around the piriformus muscle & the neck.  ;D

Well, I don't advocate looking for medical advise anywhere but a doctor's office, but if we're going to talk endocrine system, my pancreas decided to cool its heels for the rest of my life and I got type 1 diabetes.

Second that. My dad died of diabetic complications. My older sister has it now. And I have no intention of following in their footsteps. If that concerned, get checked out (by a doctor) and take early action into reversing any chances of it. Diet matters. Be healthy about it.
