VE-521 The Medieval Bastard Sword

(1/1)

Sir Edward:
Not bad. This looks like a pretty good alternative if you're having a hard time working up to paying for an Albion. An extra $300 for the scabbard isn't bad (assuming that's for a complete scabbard, not just an unfinished wood core).

Sir William:
So they've gone and added a mid-point between the Signature and Regal lines?  These and the Regal lines boast actual Gus Trim blades...so I'm guessing the Regal line ones come w/a scabbard and the Elite line it is optional.  $300 is about all that separates the two lines and its the scabbard.

Sonny makes really nice ones tho, I must say...and a good deal cheaper than any other custom scabbard maker.

Sir James A:
Hmm, good question on the scabbard, it says "optional Wood Core Scabbard ready to be built to your specs", but doesn't say if they build it to your specs or you do. Good price on the sword, though. Looks like a great "middle" line piece.

Sir William:
I think they build it for you, based on what you want in a scabbard and belts.  There's also Tried and True Armory (www.triedandtruearmory.com), started up by a couple of SBG forumites in collaboration with Angus Trim, if you want an actual Gus Trim sword; the T&T lines are little less pricey, check'm out if you get a chance.
