SCA census

(1/3) > >>

Sir Edward:
The SCA is conducting a census, and it's open to active members as well as those who are not. They want the opinion of folks who have left or are inactive, since they're considering changes and want a wide range of input to help make the SCA better. So if you have any thoughts of maybe joining someday if they fix some of the things you don't like about the society, now is your time to speak up.

Even though I have a membership card, my membership is probably expiring, and I went ahead and filled it out as though I'm no longer a member (this makes sense, I've been to pennsic twice and attended one other event). I left comments about seeing a need for clearer paths to achievements and awards, the problem with having heavy combat be the only means to titles of nobility or knighthood, and the lack of actual historical combat arts now that they're becoming available.

Sir William:
Definitely will look into this...I think it is a good thing that they've taken the initiative to find out for themselves what everyone else thinks...still wish I'd kept that particularly nasty string from my first contact with them...just one person in particular, what a B.  lol

Sir Wolf:
i have no love for the empire. nor do i hate it hehehe.

i think if there was one closer i would join but not be apart of all the gossip blah that goes on with it.

Dragonlover:
They've been supposedly taking this initiative for years now... I think they are finally starting to realize that people have taken it upon themselves to do their own research and they're starting to find their numbers falling due to people who want to learn the true ways for themselves....

Sir William:
Think I'll have time to do this today.
