Sir Brian:
The "Warlord" with Charlton Heston? That is one of my favorite movies of his and surprisingly accurate
concerning the arms and armor. Very cool! Do you have any pictures of it? :)
Dragonlover:
As far as miniatures go, I used to do my dad"s for him back in the day when he
was a dungeonmaster at D+D. I think he still has a couple of the trolls with their
warclubs that I painted. you can do wonders for shading by using a "dry-brush"
technique, and / or an airbrush.... ;)
Sir Edward:
Yep, I ruined many a brush with dry-brushing. :) I did worn-metal tricks with that all the time, and all my skeleton warriors were dry-brushed over a black base-coat.
Boy this takes me back!
Sir Brian:
It truly warms my heart to hear there are so many of us with fond memories of painting minatures
and it helps me not to lose motivation to keep trying, which can sometimes become difficult after
you've checked out some of the minatures on this page. You will not believe how far minature painting
has advanced over the years! :o

Sir Edward:
Yeah, that's nuts. I never had that much patience, and as I said, we used ours for gaming, so for me it was usually more of a "slap some color on that thing" sort of deal. :) I really admire some of the work I've seen though. It was always fun looking over what was in the displays at the Games Workshop, for instance.
