My Mini ME!
Sir Brian:
I found my mini me at the NYRF in Tuxedo in the Medieval Replicas shop.
Here are a couple of pictures.
I plan on painting *me* in my basic green/gold colors. I don't have the skill to free hand my
actual combined COA colors of green/gold & black/white! ;)
The best part is the proprietor has a much larger mold of a griffon just like the one on the miniature’s helm. Large enough in fact to be a replacement crest for my helm! I hope to convince him to do a casting in resin for me so I can have a more appropriate griffon crest! :)
Sir Edward:
Oh man, that's great. :)
If he could do the crest as a hollow resin casting, that you be great for reducing the weight. Resin does have a bit of weight for something to go on your head, but then again, you also don't want it to break too easily, so maybe solid is better anyway.
Painting miniatures is always interesting. I haven't done that in years!
Sir Brian:
Of course the size of this piece I don't know if I should even call it a "miniature" ;)
Sir Wolf:
what ever happened with this guy?
Sir Brian:
He is still safely tucked away in his box and in the long, long, long, long queue of future projects. :-[
I have visualized the setting I want to place him in and have narrowed down the choice of dragons down to three. Of course I have to also muster up the inspiration to paint another dragon which is perhaps the most difficult kind of figure for me to paint since typically I spend weeks trying to get the glittering effect of the scales just right. SO, he is in hiatus. ;)
How is that 1920's kit coming? ;D
