MDRF 2009

<< < (10/11) > >>

Sir Matthew:
That is news to me, but I have not talked to him in a few weeks.  It's been hit or miss seeing people the tail end of this season.

I noticed Jon's interview was among the "similar" videos after watching the one in the link. Jon did a
great job!  :)

Sir Edward:

Awesome! He did a fantastic job!

Sir Edward:
Well, the MDRF season is done once again. Man, it went by fast! I feel like I was hardly there and didn't do much. I managed to be there only 7 of the 19 days (I used to go for more like 15 or so).

Closing day was sort of an odd day too... My mom was visiting (with her broken foot), and several groups of other friends were out and about, so I spent a lot of time sitting in one place or another, not out "getting face time" with photo-ops and lots of kids, though I was interviewed for some sort of audio-only school project. I also was fighting a headache early on, which I fought off quite well, but it still left me spacey. Kat didn't get to stay for the whole day, so we spent the last 10 minutes of the faire on the phone. And the great parking lot escape was a nightmare, more-so for my mom who tried to beat the rush and ended up getting stuck in it for more than two hours.

But as strange of a day as it was, it was a great day and was over way too quick. So many friends that I won't see again until next year (except through facebook, etc). In some ways the faire keeps getting better and better. So now begins the 10-month break, but at least we'll have other faires in the meantime. :)

Sir Brian:
I heartily agree that this entire faire season went by so blazingly fast that I can hardly believe the
MDRF is done and over!  :o

Oh btw, I had the opportunity to meet the faire's general manager Jules Smith Jr. last night on the
way back to my car after leaving you and after introducing myself I complimented and thanked him
on his hard work to provide us with a wonderful and successful faire season. I think he may have been
just a little glad it was over because of all the work and concerns involved with managing such a large
fair.  :-\
