Very nice work. I'm impressed by the amount of work that went into this piece.

It reminds me of a strange feeling I got the first time I wore a garment I made myself... that I wanted very much not to damage it. Usually, a stain or tear in clothes is a "darn, that sucks" thing, but on a garment I spent dozens of hours making myself, it felt more... personal. Like I cared more about my clothes because I'd made them. For lots of things this is normal, but not really for clothes because you so seldom make your own clothes.

Anyway, well done sir, well done.

Wow... that's quite impressive. Very well done.

Sir Patrick:
Thanks guys!  Sir William, don't be afraid to try. I learned from checking out this website: http://www.whitemountainarmoury.com/pdfs/armingCoat.pdf
Just be sure to make a mock up as a test fit. I just used an old sheet for that.

Scott, I don't mind a little wear and tear on my martial garments. Adds to the authenticity in my book. After a test fit with my greasy mail coat, that gamby is looking pretty "authentic".

Jon Blair:
Looks good. :)
