Sampf:
I got accepted into Talbot Companye! So if you kind folks have any suggestions to my armor collection when it comes to Plate arms or Pauldrons/Spaulders or Leg armor please share!
I'm already Getting a  2mm Bascinet and this breastplate around 16 gauge (built to me) if it doesn't show up here is the link http://merctailor.webs.com/photos/undefined/robs%20breast%20plate%20reduced.jpg

Sir Rodney:
Mercenary Tailor - Excellent choice in my book!

Allan Senefelder is his name and he's a member of this forum.  He makes rock solid gear and has a sterling reputation.  I've had many successful dealings with Allan.   :)

Sir William:
Sampf, check out Sir James's harness - I believe the bulk of his kit is MT made.  I have a number of pieces from Allan- Lord Rodney has the right of it, rock solid wares, sterling reputation and quite possibly the best prices for such pieces.  It won't be totally custom, but he does a decent job of making sure it'll fit well enough based on measurements you provide.

Sir James A:
Definitely suggest Allan / MercTailor. His stuff has been almost bullet-proof, and the quality for the price is fantastic. The only way you'll find something cheaper is off-the-shelf low quality knock-offs, and you'll end up hating it. Go with Allan.

Sampf, if you retain nothing else, you should always-always-always keep this in mind:  you get what you pay for (except for Allan, he charges less than he should, but he's the exception, not the norm); go on the cheap and you get cheap, usually ill-fitting and unattractive armor.  Take your time, do it right like the song says- getting well made and fitted armor takes time.  You could of course rush it if you have the funds...would be nice, actually.  ;)

Which reminds me, I have a set of MT blackened pauldrons w/besagews, elbows, knees and greaves I have to put up on ebaY.
