Their maille is quite functional. Bought most of maille from them. Very happy with it.

I see it as a great encouragement for the company  and more for the guys in production. We literally produce hundreds of these in a calendar year and at times also have our share of troubles where things don't go as intended but mistakes can happen and at allbeststuff we stand by for any post sale issues and try & resolve with best of intention. I wish we could have done the riding split also :), these are some of the things we never miss but we did unfortunately.

If I can share something & I am sure everyone here knows that producing a good maille is a tough task & yes producing a lot more quantity takes everything to another level. Maille production require lot of repetitive work and to be honest, guys in production do get carried away overlooking some of the things that could be corrected easily while weaving or at initial riveting stage however at times choose to ignore. We do look after each of our product at least 2wice before final packaging but often rivets takes a beating on several occasions including while in transit so we also keep our finger crossed that our efforts should meet our buyers expectations.

And on behalf of allbeststuff (ABS), I thank everyone on this post to appreciate what we are doing. :)

I understood that the coif did not match up the expectation and looking forward for few suggestion. We always try to do best & willing to transform our products to match customers need. Creating a size variation in a chain mail hood is complex task but any suggestions, comments are most welcome.

Thank you & have a great day,  :)

Hey Nitin, good to see you on here.  I'm also a fan- think I'm on my second hauberk from you?  In any event, keep the upgrades and good work coming!

Glad you liked my review, I thought your maille needed one so I reviewed it to encourage others to buy it as well, as you are the only maker I know who offers 12th century hauberks with mittens. I'd rather see people run around with these kinds of hauberks rather than the usual baggy sleeved non tailored sleeves and no mittens.

The suggestion I have for the coifs is to close the neck a bit. That way it wont have a huge hole in the neck and would protect the throat a bit like the historical examples. I mean this is pretty easy to fix with a few rows of rings which is why I asked for extra rings to fix it. I'd also recommend making the coif's mantle/avantail a bit smaller so it only covers the shoulders slightly. That way smaller sized people like me wouldnt have it be too big.
I also recommend offering this kind of coif possibly: http://www.gambeson.pl/medieval-on-line-shop/13th-century-chainmail/arming-cap-with-chainmail-9mm.html
With the square front and back with the side ventail down a bit with the neck covered. Dunno if you'd be willing to undertake this but I know a maille maker in the USA who could possibly modify one of my coifs and I could send pictures of the prototype possibly. But it's good to see you're willing to take customer's ideas to make which is why I am suggesting this. I noticed you did make the mittened hauberks after one guy made one himself.

allbeststuff:
Suggestion on the coif noted. I initially use to sell smaller face opening / mantle however on multiple feedback's I somewhat adjusted to a size more appropriate. We still offer small face openings on requests without any extra charge. I am thinking of now bringing it to 2 sizes which should cover demand in a better way.
Hood sewn over arming cap is a good idea & I would definitely give it a shot. Yes a picture will help & I will be grateful.
We at allbeststuff (Abs) seek opportunities to better understand our customer needs and not just the chain mail you ll see a wide range of products forthcoming in near future.
