Sir Humphrey:

--- Quote from: Sir Humphrey on 2014-03-21, 01:00:48 ---Sir Aiden - Some I have already protected with strips of folded linen.  I still have some to do as I have time.  They all have to be done by hand.  Sir Ian has not protected his seams with no ill affect thus far.

Oops!  I see now that it was Sir Ian himself who asked the question about seams, not Sir Aiden!

Sir James A:
The more I see people have success with this, the more I think I need to try it :) Congrats!

Lord Dane:
Looks really tailored made. Nice job.

Sir James, that is the reason I add posts like this.  Not to show off, but to encourage others to make their own gear (well, I do like to show off a leetle bit.)  There is a lot of gratification and self-education to be had by learning to make the gear you use, and it makes it easier to interpret to the public also.

It also gives you a little sense of life back then, if they had sowing machines of coarse lol.
