Help! Need Rivets

in a pinch use a nail. cut the shaft to length and peen it. i think they have "brass coated" nails for those brass carpet ends (where carpet and hard floor meet)

I tried that. It didn't flatten and I ended up destroying the buckle so I had to order a new one.

Carpet threshold strip; they do have brass coated nails. Revival Clothing actually carries some.

Clipped nails are a proper medieval item for some things. They are basically a thin-head rivet at that point. Some of my armor has nails in it; leather articulation straps in particular.
