MD Renaissance Faire moving to a new venue?
Sir William:
My lady wife just sent this to me. Think they'll allow weapons at the new venue? Probably not. ::)

CROWNSVILLE, Md. (AP) -- After decades in the same Anne Arundel County location, Maryland Renaissance Festival organizers say they are looking at moving to a new venue.
The Capital reports (http://bit.ly/1nT85CF) that a Facebook post by Jules Smith, the president of the festival held in Crownsville, raises the possibility that the county could lose the $8 million event, which attracts 300,000 visitors annually and provides hundreds of seasonal jobs.
Smith, who has been seeking a new site for years, says the festival has been offered a "large property directly on a major divided highway with larger fields and woods." He doesn't say where it is.
Smith says organizers love the property they currently lease, but they want to study the new site that offers the possibility of better access and more space.

Sir Brian:
Well they’ve been grumbling about traffic and space for a few years now so it could very well happen in a couple of years, although I do not think for a second they would allow weapons. No gain in it for them at all to add a liability risk. :-\
Sir James A:
Hopefully moving closer to me?
Sir William:
Sir James, why not try starting one for WV? Or do they have a RF already?
Sir Brian:
Well sort of…They call it the Apple-Butter festival of Berkley Springs but their ‘Medieval Element’ apparently went off to college! ;)
