why do you have to do that? I actually added some padded leather knees to my quilted chausis for
extra chaffing protection. :-\

actually got a lil further this evening than this. have the lion carbonized on and the seashells are detailed. I should have the lion painted and detailed tomorrow. if so then I'll touch up the pewter color some and then seal the entire shield and be done one more project.
I also marked the point holes on the padded chausis so might get those sewn tomorrow as well.
now, I need to get some simple green or mineral spirits to de-grease my mail...
