Eat like a hobbit Sunday.
Sir Brian:
Welcome to the battle of the ‘bulge’ brothers! ;D
I’ve been engaged in my fight for ten years now ever since I officially hit the middle age group AND quit smoking (smoked 3 packs a day for 26 years). Therefore my metabolism took a serious nose dive along with my rediscovered taste buds brought me to my current weight woes of 236 pounds at six foot one. Still I don’t exercise enough and need to work on more cardio just for general health. I hope to get down to an even 200 lbs which would be the ideal weight for my height and larger frame. :-\
Sir William:
Congratulations on quitting smoking, Brother! As for the battle of the bulge, I find that I'm a recalcitrant fighter at best- although of late, that's not the case so much. Not being able to fit in clothes that as recent as last year I was wearing (albeit a little tight, I could still fit them) is a big deal. I hate clothes shopping so my wife does it for me mostly, but she's going off old measurements, my fault not hers. I would dearly love to drop all this weight and get back to my fighting weight (and build) - it just seems a LOT harder than it used to be. Of course, I'm daunted by my weight- I've never been this heavy before.
Sir Wolf:
ug, stress does it to me. i put back 30 of my 52 lbs back on. sucks.
Sir William:
I'd like to blame stress but really, its pure laziness and lack of motivation. I'd much rather sit in my recliner, chomping chips and swilling beer while playing video games than working out or doing anything remotely strenuous.
Sir Nate:
Congrats on quitting smoking, my step dad just quit, but he still in transitioning and smokes electric.
Ya my frame has a that 200lb. Range but my eldest brother is 6.1, my uncle is 6.2 and my great grand dad was 6.3, my other grandfather was 6.2, I think my cousin is 6.3 or 4.
Ya I've been to the gym 3 times in a row now and am going today. I've noticed a huge difference, but thanks to pool class and having just stopped fencing I think I was in decent shape when I started going.
Once you get in habit of exercising its easy, but the real challenge of losing more so fat is eating right.
Like not eating that 7th slice of pizza. Or the last beer in the back I the fridge.
I've gotten out of habit of eating when I'm passed nuclear leak limit. In fact I don' t often eat to the point of fullness anymore. But I like to think I'm not being gluttonous by say eating that 7th slice.
Actually I've started to do dome exercise in armor, sometimes with helm. It is painful but in a feel the burn way. Just usually the hauberk tho. Sit ups, push ups. (Funny how alot of low tech exercises say up, I'm going to practice sit downs this weekend, maybe some stand ups)
