Medieval Madness Dinner Theater
Sir Nate:
--- Quote from: Sir Brian on 2014-02-02, 13:13:34 ---It was an awesome night! So sorry not all of our brethren and forum friends could be there! Silvanus was suppose to attend but PM'd me earlier yesterday that he had to go to the hospital to stay with a friend who was in a grievous skiing accident. Most noble and considerate of him and I look forward to another time when we will have the company of such a excellent example of chivalry!
The turnout was so good I suggest we make this at least an annual event! :)
Oh and as for the creepy eyes I hope Dean & Sam Winchester don't lurk on our forum because they might mistake us for Shapeshifters! ;)

Well Silvanus preformed a noble deed, I wondered were he had been.
Yes this will Definetly be a good annual thing. Next time more knights!
Sir Martyn:
Most enjoyable and it was indeed the highest honor to be in the esteemed company of such fine gentlemen (and ladies).
Many thanks to Sir Brian for organizing and best Day of Birthe wishes again to Sir Edward.
Only one casualty to report: my pendant (leather shield with brass adornment displaying a "wheel") was lost at some point during the evening. I have e-mailed MM to ask them to look around, but it has some sentimental value as it was a gift from the armorers of my harness in Novi Sad. Ah well, such is the cost of celebration :)
Do we have any forum members living in Alexandria by chance?
Sir Nate:
I haven't left Alexandria yet, I could stop by and ask them if they have it.
Sir Edward:
It was a great night of merriment and revelry!
Medieval Madness has definitely improved over the last 4 years, since we were last there. When my lady and I had attended before, it had only been open maybe a couple of months. The walls were bare, the food was simple, the sword fight was "amusing". :)
This time, the ambiance was very nice. They've decorated well, and even improved the furniture. The show is re-written periodically so it's not always the same. The sword fight was better, though still somewhat limited due to confined space, and they were wearing great-helms, which of course limits visibility.
But what impressed me, is that now they have researched some period dishes, and also only serve ale, wine, and mead that comes from breweries, wineries, and meaderies that have been around for at least 600 years. All of the alcohol is imported.
All in all, we had a great time! I'll post my pictures soon.

Oh no! Might have to call them and see if it turned up.
Sir Nate:
I'll call mm and stop by, and see if they have the pendant.
If I find it
I'll keep it secret and keep it safe.
