Sir Douglas:
I just finished this kettle hat tonight and thought I'd share. Actually, it's not quite 100% as I still have to finish the chinstrap and rivet it on, but close enough.

This is only my second armor project and thus is very much a "learning piece", but other than some obvious (in my mind) errors that nibble at the back of my brain, I think it turned out all right.

And a few historically accurate washers, because I'm obsessive like that. ;)

Ian:
Doug that looks really nice.  For just your second armor project that's truly outstanding!  Congratulations on a job well done.

Sir Patrick:
Seconded. Very nice!

Sir Matthew:
I agree that looks very nice, and it's one of my favorite helmet types.

Sir Douglas:
Thanks guys!

I had such a difficult time with this one at first; nothing seemed like it wanted to line up or fit. Once I started bolting it all together, though, it seemed to pull in some areas that I couldn't get quite right. There are some things I'd do differently on the next one, but I'm rather surprised it turned out the way it did.
