- hot rolled steel, 2 mm (14 ga)
helm and made from 2mm (14ga) mild steel
mounting for aventayl
removable visor

I saw that on the archive, that is awesome!  That's a 'great' bascinet, oh I crack myself up!  But seriously, that really is a wonderful reproduction of a neglected style of bascinet.

which date would you give that one Ian? looks like 1340s-50s somewhere?
