Steel rims aren't very historical, though- what period are you aiming for? Leather/rawhide is the way to go as I am told. ;)
Sir Ulrich:
Yeah I am doing 1270-1330 era. I already payed for the steel rim though so theres no turning back really, But this is for my heraldic knight kit and not my teutonic knight kit.
Sir William:
Well, it'll look good, that's for sure. Which reminds me, I need to get with them about another shield.
