Yep, exactly what Ian said. It does have a line of leather that you could add an aventail to, but the lines look "off" for historical (the visor is throwing me, being rounded on top). It's not a klappvisor for sure. The brass looks really gaudy to me, and I second that shiny part. Wouldn't use it for anything historical, but for SCA or general "fancy armor dress", it's probably fine (assuming it's 14ga or thicker)

It does has some peculiars but historical flaws aside... it is a beautiful design.
