Sui Generis

Ian:
Gaming Geeks,

This is a kickstarter pitch on a PC game called Sui Generis.  I think anyone interested in programming and gaming tech will find this a pretty cool video.  Looks like a lot of potential in this indy home-grown open world RPG engine.  Check it out!

Sir Brian:
Wow! I'll have to follow their progress on this! :)

Lord Dane:
SWEET!!!! Look out Electronic Arts. :)

Sir Edward:

Wow, that's awesome! That's the kind of thing I fantasized about making when I was younger too. Back int he day, I used to make little shareware games for DOS, and every once in a while I'd take a stab at making a dynamic environment with procedurally generated detail, but would usually give up pretty quickly. It was just too hard to do with the knowledge I had, and in 640K of RAM. :)

I love that the combat is positional and the weapons matter. Of course, the characters look sluggish and drunk to me in how the move, but I love the realism otherwise. Man, that flail looked like it should have been fatal on nearly every hit, armor or not, but you can really feel the combat on a visceral level while watching it.

I'm totally going to contribute to this. Probably the £60 level, to get alpha/beta access and full download when it's released.

Sir William:
