Saw the weather report/forecast & light garb is best, Sir Brian. I'll wear my noble SCA garb for MD Renfaire & match my wife. I'll bring the armor next time we meet up. Too much baggage for FL & one day of faire. :) However, I will bring a couple wooden wasters (for practice/fun), my great sword (for show), & my Order sword for accolades. :) I think a match-up of knightly skill is in order for display & fun. ;) What do you think?

Sir Edward:

Just remember that MDRF is a no-weapons faire. Irritating, I know.

That's a news update I did not consider. Makes bringing my armor pointless if I can't even wear my sword. Thanks for informing me, Sir Edward. NOTE: I make sure the ren-faires I work/attend are weapon-friendly for sake of re-enactors, staff, customers in garb (i.e. CTRF, KRF for examples). They allow weapons with restrictions obviously. ;) Safety 1st & check your weapons before hitting the tavern.

Lord Dane:
We'll still come for meeting the group but I must say...I hate NO weapon faires. :( Big disappointment. Unless PA Ren-Faire is possiblity for meeting you gents?? What do you think?? I've never been there & it is still along the way.

Is that a viable option for any of you to do Sept. 1 at PA Ren Faire (Sir Brian, Edward, William or others)??

Either way, I'm flexible but as Sir Edward stated....that no weapons policy is 'irritating'. Sorry, I'm just used to having them as part of my medieval persona.

Sir James A:
Yeah, the MDRF no-weapons policy is terrible. It even includes "costume weapons" like wall hangers. It's not without reason, but, still no fun.
