Sir Edward:
He has a new sword for it, one that he bought from me. It's one of the Hanwei blunt trainers (practical hand-and-a-half). I think he still wanted to be able to use it as a practice sword. It probably wouldn't weaken it too much to put one or two small holes in the wider end of the blade.

Ah, I was thinking it would be a "sacrificial sword". He could get an "acorn nut" (http://www.mmsacc-stainless.com/assets/auto_generated_images/acorn-nut.jpg) and grind down the hex edges. It would look like the end of a rivet, but could be unscrewed from the other side. And they're about $1 for a bolt & nut, plus the few minutes to file down the hex edges. Just tossing it out there, since I'm brainstorming for my own MDRF special too. :)
Sir Brian:
Whereas I'd go in the opposite direction Sir James and thread a solid rivet! ;)
Sir Brian:
Purchased my Forever Pass today! You have to purchase them over the phone now and pick them up at the Faire...kind of defeats the purpose of saving time by going in the pass holder's gate when they use to mail the passes to you. :-\
Sir William:
Forever Pass...just for the season or for all time?
