18ga zinc-plated (galvanized). I suspect they're not very good, but from a costuming point, who knows? They're certainly cheap!

I'd get a set but butted comes apart all the time for me, prolly would more so on chausses rather than shirts due to the movement involved. For that price they are tempting though.
