I am really liking the look of the Varangian Guard...the earlier one reminds me of the Uhtred Ragnarson books by Cornwell- even though it is 2-300 years before 1066.  I like it alot.

All these Norse pics almost make me want to work on a Viking kit  ;) but I have enough pokers in the fire so to speak, so I'll finish up what I have planned first.
