I have a set of the armored gloves like that as well. I like those for when I need more than just padded leather, but they do restrict you slightly more. They take some breaking in.

I suddenly have a vision of Sir Wolf and Sir Edward dueling with epees while wearing complete deer skins including antlers!  :o
