I’m so glad I got one of his shields when I did, because he does do them exceptionally well…err I guess now it should be ‘did’ huh?  :'(

Yep, that looks like the right idea.

I wonder how comfortable they are. The nice thing about Allan's was the way he did a leather suspension in them, that kept the metal from riding directly on the knee-cap.

Sir William:
Allan was the only one who padded his plate bits...at least for lower arms and lower legs he did.  Much more comfortable to wear than just naked steel...it was little touches like that that made him stand out in my eyes.
