So far 70% chance of rain Saturday and 60% on Sunday. Question is to armor up still or don't go at all? On a side note I wore armor light last Sunday @ PARF and got pretty drenched but did not sustain any rust since I applied a liberal coat of gun oil before leaving for the faire and reapplied another coat when I got home a couple hours after getting soaked. This could be one of those times to stock up on more gun oil! ;)

I heard about the rain too. I'll be going either way, though the amount of time I stay will depend on the weather. Mother Nature can rain down on me with all her might - pfft, stainless steel! - although lightning will be a deciding factor as to when to shed the armor....
Sir Edward:
The good news is that MDRF is about 2/3 under tree-cover. When it gets really rainy, most of the danes will bug out, and then there's room in the taverns for the garbed playtrons.
But we'll just have to see what the hurricane does.
I'm thinking that if it's looking like a good chance of rain, I'll be leaving the mail chausses, elbows/knees, and helmet off. That lets me wear my tall boots (mud is no problem), and not worry about my steel bits rusting. Everything else is fine in the rain-- aluminum mail, linen surcoat, leather bracers, etc.
Sir William:
GET WET
SirNathanQ:
I'll show. Will there be an actual time when most will definatly be around? I'm aiming to set off at ten at the absolute latest.
And yes, I also fear little from the rain, as most of my maille bits are zinc coated, and I have a nice big mantle to cover most. Those trees also help a good bit too ;)
