Josh's Idea for a 16th Century Kit!

(1/3) > >>

Joshua Santana:
As you all know I's having difficulty in deciding whether to go with a Coat of Plates or a Globose Breatsplate for my 14th Century Kit.

But here I intend to show a Kit in which I know exactly what I am looking for, travel two more Centuries towards a Late 15th - Early 16th Century Kit.  This one I intend to create for my Maximilian Knight persona and potentialy as my Kit for my Knightly service as a Knight for Hire.

Here is the idea

Now here is the Kit layout

I know that I have been bugging you all Brethren on my crazy and inaccurate ideas for the Kit that will soon be ordered: "When will Josh get his Kit, why does he have to keep typing up his crazy ideas, I need my sleep!"  "Josh, for the love of life!  Order the bloody Kit and post pics of it!"

That is not my intention.  I want to present an idea of mine and proofread this idea so that way you all will know what to expect when I order the first Kit.

Sir James A:
If you mean Maximillian as in a style of armor, none of that is. The maximillian style is probably best described as "fluted italian". It's fluted like gothic armor, but shaped more like italian. The picture is more of less a "typical" late 15th/early 16th-ish harness.

Sir Wolf:
william isn't taking any more commissions. its sad cause he really was a great armourer.

Sir Matthew:
I hope you find someone to make this since Sir Wolf says the person you intended to make it isn't taking commissions anymore. This is a fantastic kit. It may not be the fluted Maximillian armor, but boy is it pretty. Almost makes me think about adding a 16th C. knightly personae to my list. Especially since most of what I am currently involved in is 16th-17th C reenacting.

Joshua Santana:
I didn't. See that I wrote maximilian.  I did mean to Late 15th - Early 16th Century.  I know that William is out of the business, but the kit in picture serves as the model for my merc tailor kit.

I apologize for confusion on my part.

It appears after doing some kate research, the 16th Century arms and legs are more accurate to what I am trying to get to.  The helmet is still in decision.
