Sir Wolf:
ok.
i have full stainless 14th century arms and legs minus the spaulders. (as seen here)

i could wear my riveted hauberk with them as well.
now should I order the stainless parts and make a pair of spaulders? or for about the same money I could order the mild steel  spaulder caps, elbows and knees and make new full arms and legs with the rest of the metal i have here.

i would also need to make a surcoat and order a helmet w/ aventail.
thinking of these:

(bascinet) http://www.kultofathena.com/product.asp?item=AB0427&name=Klappvisier+Bascinet+Helmet or http://www.kultofathena.com/product.asp?item=AB0423&name=Houndskull+Bascinet+Helmet

and this coif (mail) http://www.kultofathena.com/product.asp?item=AB2550&name=Chain+Mail+Coif+-+Wedge+Riveted-Solid+Ring+-+Flattened+ring+-+Mild+Steel in order to make the aventail from since ice falcons is so expensive.

just thinking... hmmmmmmmmmm

Sir Brian:
That's a great idea about using the coif to make an aventail out of!  :)
Too bad I have neither the skill or patience to do that much hand sewing into that thick leather...or are you going to cheat and pre-punch the holes? ;)

Sir Wolf:
na i'll prob sew it on.

Sir Brian:
In that case you might want to invest in one of these beauties!

They work great!  :)

Sir Wolf:
:) hehe i will prob pre punch my sewing holes with my leather stitch punch. then i'll use a leather and a sewing needle. works out pretty well. that is a nice piece though thanks!
