made a rondel but I'm not happy with it. i put the rivet holes on the flats instead of the 45s. thus the langets are in the way so i will make another one now later ehheheh

Before you chuck the rondel in the scrap bin, here's an idea that might work.  Pull the bottom arming nail from each langet and use those holes to secure both the langet and a bracket.  On the non-langet sides just attach the brackets normally.  I don't know if this method is historically accurate or feasible, but it's worth a look before chucking a nicely dished rondel.  :)
