Sir Brian:
Here is a couple of pictures of my "campaign" surcoat made of just linen with embroidered heraldry.
The seamstress totally floored me that she could embroider my heraldic charges so easily and cheaply.




I intend to wear this surcoat with my bascinet and I'll wear the finer silk surcoat with my improved great
helm which will have a matching green/yellow silk mantle as well as a new crest.  ;)

Wow...I really like what she's done there.  The campaign one has almost a worn look to it...its coming together nicely, man!
