ordered my boots for my TD armour. TD stands for Trooper Desert ala Star Wars hehehe.
tkboots.com is the place to be
-
AND you're a SW fan??? I feel in good company, then!
-
sigh, i just ordered resin parts for the hasbro stormtrooper blaster upgrade hehhehe
-
Wow Sir Wolf, you have already finished the cretaceous period Tyrannosaurus Rex, Velocoraptor, and Sabertooth Tiger kits!!!
And you finished the neanderthal and neolithic eras too?
So now we're moving on to the only not-represented era, the future!!!! ;D
That's great though. I think you should wear it to renn fair. lol
-
hey dont knock it, i have a friend who has the neolithic man kit.
-
Good Sir Wolf,
From viewing photographs on this and other forums, I believe you must have the most serious case of "Reenactor ADD" known to science. ;) The thing I find amazing is that each period is done so well. You really have set the bar way too high for the rest of us. I have a hard enough time keeping up with just the 1350's!
-
hah! you make me blush. hehehe
oh, just wait a few weeks, my british fusil will be here and i will have my 18th century pic :)
-
I have no aspirations of keeping up with Sir Wolf- I'm just along for the ride!
-
I second Sir William..... ::)
-
gonna go price out stuff to make the TD backpack

gonna go price out stuff to make the TD backpack
I'm hoping it will be functional too? :D

I suppose you've already visited these, but in case you haven't there's quite a bit of useful stuff here. I used similar sites to construct the Boba and Jango Fett armor my kids wore the last two Halloweens.

EDIT: Hey, 300 posts!

Wow, awesome. Are you going to do any work with the 501st Legion? I've met a few of those guys from the local chapter here. Seem to be really nice and willing to help new members assemble a kit. I thought about joining and working on a Snow Trooper kit, but I have more than enough on my plate right now.
-
ya i am gonna join the old line garrison based out of md, i know a lot of guys from there.
didnt get to price out my pack stuff, but i did get my blaster.
oh and for those looking into star wars in the future, a lot fo teh chain stores are discontinuing there sales of them. online and in stock. thus we bought enough stuff this weekend to last thru Easter, Birthday and most of Christmas for Logan
-
well my resin kit came for my blaster so i started work. i cut down the scope and the barrel and sanded it down. tomorrow night i will glue on all 13 pieces and then let it sit. maybe thurs i will prime and paint it
-
You get the blaster rifle or the gun?
-
E 11 blaster. the rifles are a lot of money for me right now. maybe in the future i'll look into one. gotta get my armour and pack first
-
That's really cool. I look forward to seeing how it all turns out.
I think the 501st guys are pretty cool. We (the droid guys) interact with them a bit at some of the cons. Having done the droid thing, I think droid building is pretty crazy and it would have been easier to get into the 501st. :)
-
Are you eventually going to have a kit for every era of the Star Wars universe, too? :)
-
ummmmmmm uhhhhhhhhhh i refuse to answer this question in that it may incriminate me in the future that is a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away
-
(http://i596.photobucket.com/albums/tt47/reenactthis/Star%20Wars/DSCN3704.jpg)
1 Hasbro E 11 blaster toy
1 Doopiedoo's blaster upgrade resin parts kit from ebay
everything needs to dry and harden up, then a lite sanding, then primer coat, then paint, then clear coat. :)
-
Very nice. :) So where are you getting the armor?
-
a guy on the MEPD forum said he would make me a ABS kit for 590 plus shipping. i will need to do all of the finishing and putting it together though. another guy on the forum said he could build the sand trooper pack for 200 too. so hmmmmmmm there goes all my Bday money for the year. ehhehe guess I get no other toys till Christmas!

-
Yeah that was at Shevacon a couple of years ago. :)
-
You uh, wear that getup, Sir Edward? lol
-
Wear? LOL, no, I'm not three feet tall. He's motorized, and I drive him around, walking safely behind him. :)
Here's some video from Shore Leave 2010 that I took:
